About Us
Asian Pacific Hepatitis Outreach (APHO) was created with a mission to connect Hepatitis positive, monolingual-speaking patients from under-served Asian communities to accessible follow-up care. In partnership with the Asian Pacific Liver Center (APLC), APHO volunteers conduct patient follow-up survey to inform clients about their health status, educate them about hepatitis epidemiology and pathology, and refer them to local clinics for treatment. APHO aims to promote equitable access to healthcare by tackling various health disparities such as language barriers, financial instability, and social stigma that prevent these individuals from seeking medical care.
